The Kepler Optics R series are a range of traditional style porro prism binoculars featuring good quality BAK7 prisms combined with fully coated lenses.
This binocular is an exceptional value binocular with a magnification ideal for bird watching and nature. The rubber armoured body gives a comfortable feel to the robustly constructed body. Each model in the range is tripod mountable.
An 8×40 is a popular model for people who want the image quality of a full size traditional binocular in a slightly more compact shell.
PLEASE NOTE – Anti-UV coating reduces glare to give a sharper image in bright and hazy conditions. It does not, as some sellers claim, help low light performance or give the binoculars ‘night vision’ properties. It will in fact make the binoculars less suitable for low light work. It is a useful feature for uses such as plane spotting wher you would be viewing a clear bright sky.
