Infrared and UV Blocking / cut Filter 1.25
An excellent IR cut filter for photographical applications.
The filter cuts off unwanted IR and UV light and at the same time has best possible transmission in the optical wavelengths.
The filter has a precisely machined metal cell with 1.25 filter thread at both ends. Glass surface are precisely polished and parallel. The dielectric coating is scratch resistant for excellent longevity.
Applications:
CCD chips respond to UV and IR light. Telescope optics and camera lenses are only optimized in the visual wavelengths, though a lower contrast and inferior image sharpness is the result.
The IR / UV cut filter cuts off this unwanted IR and UV light, effectively enhancing contrast and image sharpness. The filter is recommended whenever there is any glass element between the object and the camera (objective lenses, eyepieces, Barlow lenses, )
The filter is coated and has the fine 1.25 filter thread on both sides. You can therefore easily combine the filter with other 1.25 filters.with filter thread 1,25″
