‘Helios’ 8 x 30 with filters and case Russian Binoculars

Pair of 8 x 30 binoculars measuring 16 x 12 x 5 cm and weighing 620 g in use.

Yellow filters for eyepieces and carrying case.

Serial Number 80199577.

In their case, these weigh 930 g and measure 17.5 x 13 x 8.5 cm.

Condition

Generally very good condition, but there are some small chips and scratches to the lower edge of front lens surrounds.

The slip-on yellow filter for right eyepiece is a bit loose and can fall off, I’m sure a small adjustment or bit of packing would resolve this.

Focus is smooth and light, one of the best I have used.

Note that the name “Helios” is a stick-on label, but this may be normal for all I know, or may be they are just some generic USSR manufactured binoculars – but they are one of the nicer pairs I have listed.
