SET OF 19 ANTIQUE BRASS CARPET STAIR RODS C1860/70sHere we have a set of 19 excellent, antique solid brass, carpet stair rods. They vary in lengrh as they came from an old Victorian farm cottage near Cirencester in the Cotswolds that was being renovated wiih the existing winding staircase being removed. (Philistines!).However, what we have are:1 x 30″ (76cm) with a 1″ flat base and has, what I can best describe as a clover end fitting, to both ends. It weighs 521 grams – about 1 lb 3oz.There are a further 9 x 24 inches (61cm) long all with the clover ends and weigh approx 515 grams – 1lb 3 oz each.Also another 9 x 27 inch (69cm) long with flat ends on both ends and weigh 417 grams ( approx 15 oz) each.Please have a look at my photographs.So, as you can see, they are collectively quite heavy, being made of solid brass, so first class letter post will not be possible!I shall ship them worlswide and there are a few quotes here:As they weigh just over 9kg before packaging I shall have to ship them abroad by Courier so please ask for a quote BEFORE bidding if you are not quoted here.
