Excellent condition Voigtlander Labyrinthbinoculars and caseThis Voigtlander Braunschweig model was introducedin 1934 for civilian use.  The very rareand distinctive aluminium body construction was called by the manufacturerLabyrinth sealing where the bridge arms from the hinge and the main body arecast in one piece.  The other half of thecast body is sealed and screwed together, resulting in the characteristic seamsrunning along the bodies.  Thisessentially dispensed with the need for end prism cover plates resulting in avery robust and sealed pair of binoculars. Also very distinctive, are the Bakelite eye cups.  The lenses and prisms are in very good conditionexcept for one small chip in the extreme edge of one prism when back-viewed (see photo 11) which does not affect normal viewing. These binoculars have their original shinyblack paint which is in very nice original condition, with just a small amountof rubbing on some edges and some very fine bubbling in places.The first bridge carries letters cast into thealuminium.  On the left it has V.B.(Voigtlander Braunschweig) and on the right, 6×30.  The serial number of 117418 is stamped on theface of the other bridge at the objective end.The original black leather neck strap with studs isin very good condition.There is also a brown leather case which is innear perfect condition. The leather is hardly marked and the shoulder strap,loops, and press-stud clasp are all secure. The belt loops have never been used. The lining and shoulder rests are alsoin good condition.These are a very rare and highly desirable pair ofbinoculars in their original matching case. All in an immaculate un-restored condition.   Would international bidders please enquire for anestimate of postage cost. Please note that ebay charges a final value fee onpostage as well as the item.  On top of packing materials, packing& posting, travel costs, and paypal fees a portion of these additionalcharges has been added to the true postage costs.  I am sorry forthis but ebay and paypal fees are now making it very difficult for sellers.Please note for absolute clarity, that in addition to the honestdescription made in good faith, the photographs form an integral part of thedescription and it is incumbent upon the buyer to seek further information ifthere is any uncertainty about age, condition or functionality.  Allparcels will be sent with full insurance and requiring a signature upondelivery.  The full purchase value will be quoted on customsdocumentation and all import duties will be the sole responsibility of thebuyer.
