Danubia Wega 900 Refracter Astro Telescope The Danubia Wega 900 Refractor Astro Telescope is great for anyone who is looking for a good all round telescope with a large focal length. The Danubia 900 Stargazer kit includes an adjustable aluminium tripod, 6×24 finder scope for ease of use, two eyepieces, a 2x barlow lens for expanding the focal range of the eyepieces, a 90 degree diagonal mirror, a moon filter and an erecting eyepiece which turns the image the correct way up, which is great for locating stars and planets on maps and software. The 72-300x magnification is brilliant for getting objects close, but it can also be increased by using a range of accessories (Not Included). Typically the telescope will pick out craters on the moon, the rings of Saturn and most nebulae, depending on atmospheric conditions and light pollution. The refractor style of telescope has an objective lens, which bends light onto an eyepiece, so that objects are easier to see. The telescope can easily be dismantled and moved to other star gazing venues, or is compact enough to be left up in a room somewhere for immediate viewing. The Danubia Wega 900 Refractor Astro Telescope will need careful setting up, as the narrow field of view makes it tricky to loctae small objects in the night sky, without first setting it up with reference to the moon. As the moon is generally the largest object in the night sky, once the telescope is aligned to that, then the rest is easy. Moon maps and star books are really useful, as they make sense of what can be seen and of course, tablets have great apps now for giving the names of planets and galaxies that can be found.
