8X30 BINOCULARS
Field 75 fully coated lens.
8 = Magnification; a sensible magnification that will not cause ‘flutter’ when hand held. Going larger than 8 is not always a good idea, what you gain in magnification you could lose in quality.
30 = the end lens diameter, this one large enough to allow good quality light through for a brighter image.
These are in pretty good nick – SEE PHOTOS, they accurately show the inevitable signs of wear.
The front lenses can be unscrewed for cleaning purposes. Have shone a light through the optics and they appear relatively clear.
Body consists of metal and plastic materials, sturdy, compact and well made. (approx 12cm H x 16cm W).
Lovely hard case, leather bound(?) and in good condition. SEE PHOTOS.
I believe these are a generic model that were probably re-badged by retailers, such as Boots. Possibly in the eighties(?) … not sure.
Comes with protective case but no caps.
