A pair of brass bodied leather covered (or black pained for moving parts) centre focusing binoculars/opera glasses by Chevalier of Paris. Marked with makers name & location in left eye-cup and “Day & Night Glass” in the right eye-cup.
Binoculars have clean body and optics with smooth focusing. Some minor scuff on body leather, some paint wear and one slight dent in brass not affecting operation (See photo 3). Comes with non-original leather case with shoulder strap marked made in England.
A good example of these vintage glasses.
