Celestron Travel Scope 70 (boxed) Compact Telescope + Celestron Astromaster Accessory Kit + Astronomy for Beginners Magazine all in excellent, almost new condition.
The photo of the moon on this listing was taken with this kit so it gives you an idea of the kind of detail you can see. Although I must point out that it was my first attempt at astrophotography and so the photo is slightly blurred. The view was actually much sharper and focused than my photo shows – it was my poor photography skills that let it down rather than the telescope!! As well as the moon, we were also able to make out Jupiter and it’s 4 moons- so for such a compact low-cost telescope, it really does give you some great views.

Selling this in preparation for a house move as I have only used it a couple of times since buying in January 2015. It’s therefore in excellent condition and complete with original box, instructions and software CDs.
As part of the original kit (which cost 70 new) there is a tripod and bag included and two lenses (10mm and 20mm). There is also an extra eyepiece as the thread on the screw to hold the lens in place on the original one is worn due to over-tightening and so doesn’t hold the lens in place that securely. The second eyepiece is in perfect condition though.
Also included is a Celestron Astromaster Accessory Kit which costs about 50 new on Amazon. In this kit you get two lenses (6mm and 15mm), a 2x power doubling lens, and 3 filters (red, blue, and moon), and a cleaning cloth. These are all inside a hard plastic case.
There’s also a T-Ring adaptor for a Canon camera. This allows you to mount a Canon DSLR camera to take photos through the telescope.
There is also the Astronomy for Beginners magazine included which has all sorts of useful guides, star charts, tutorials, etc.
Overall an ideal starter kit that cost over 120 new and is still in almost new condition.
