Celestron SkyProdigy 70 self-aligning telescope
The excellent Skyprodigy system will self-align the telescope given a good clear sky – a great timesaver! Telescope comes with a starter eyepiece (not the dirty great zoom pictured) – I’d recommend adding a basic zoom for a great no-fuss system, and it will take the Celestron wifi adapter later if you want smartphone control! Only issue is a couple of missing teeth in the focus mechanism – pictured. It’s been well away from the actual focus area for all the eyepieces I’ve used, so I don’t think it should be an issue. Comes (if I can find it) with a D-cell adapter, but I’d recommend throwing that away and getting a lithium ion pack that puts out 12v on Amazon – the ones sold as car jumpstarters will run this for a very long time! Collect in person and I’ve got an old “power tank” light/power supply that you can have – it’s got a lead-acid battery, so is not courier-friendly!
