Product Description

Celestron PowerSeeker telescopes- Open the gateway to the wonders of the universe. They were developed to get a taste of astronomy, the oldest science in the world and to watch the heavens with a reasonable value for money. In a time where mankind sets off for the stars, is sending astronauts to the moon and robots are sending photos of alien planets, astronomy is a modern and meaningful hobby. Celestron PowerSeeker are the ideal choice for families who are looking for an affordable telescope, that will bring the adults and children many hours of enjoyment.

Explore the universe on your own, marvel at the gaseous nebulae in stars are born, comets, galaxies consisting of billions of stars, star clusters, explosion clouds, planets, the sun, the moon and other cosmic objects.PowerSeeker is quick and easy to set up and use, even for beginners. All Celestron PowerSeekers are supplied complete with an Ocular set and a Barlow lens so you can also achieve higher magnifications, e.g. to observe details of the lunar craters, Saturn’s rings and Jupiter’s moons.

All models include a tripod, pre-assembled, and which requires no tools for setup. PowerSeekers are available in numerous types as lens and reflecting telescopes as well as with a parallax or azimuthal mount. These telescopes have All the optical components on these telescopes are made of high quality glass with a highly permeable coating for good image brightness and brilliance. Each PowerSeeker telescope also comes with astronomy software “The Sky Level 1”.

This will enable you to look up and print out thousands of celestial objects, and print star charts on your PC or laptop. The PowerSeeker 127 EQ is a reflector with a parallactic mounting.Parallactic mountings (EQ mountings) are ideal for observing the night sky with higher magnifications. Since the Earth’s rotation, which ensures that a planet wanders out of the telescope’s viewing field after a short while, can be compensated by turning the flexible shaft, provided the mounting is properly aligned towards the celestial pole (Polaris).

When observing nature such as birds, the parallactic mounting is bit more complicated to use than an azimuthal mounting.Newtonian Telescopes of the PowerSeeker series offer larger openings and thus a higher light gathering power – so that you can look at the delicate details of hundreds of distant celestial objects seen . A Newtonian reflector telescope uses a concave mirror as the primary mirror to collect the light and to produce the image; it projects the light forward again onto a flat secondary mirror with a 45 degree angle, which then directs it through a side tube opening into the eyepiece.
