The Celestron Nexstar 102 SLT is a fantastic telescope for any amateur astronomer. I bought this last year and it has been great every single time I have used it. It comes with a tripod with a mechanical mount and hand control for positioning it. It has a handy feature called sky tour which, once you have calibrated the telescope, will automatically point it at places of interest in the sky. You can view the moon in amazing clarity and see craters in amazing detail. It is also ideal for viewing nearby planets like Venus and Mars. This telescope has been well looked after and has only a couple of very light signs of wear and tear on the moving parts which is unavoidable anyway. *LED point viewfinder

*1 x 25mm eyepiece
*1 x 9mm eyepiece

Please also note that the mechanical mount does require AA batteries but you can buy a 12v power adaptor for it to run off of.
