Celestron Comet Catcher 140mm / 5.5 inchf.3.64 (500mm) Schmidt Newtonian telescope in good condition with lens cap, original(though a bit tatty) box and several hard to get accessories.The telescope tube is mounted on a standarddovetail (Vixen type) mount with cradles specially made by Orion Optics ofCrewe. It is fitted with a Celestron 8×30 finderscope.It has a 1.25 inch visual focuser and two Tadaptors for attaching a DSLR to the telescope. One T adaptor is fitted with a CelestronLight Pollution Rejection filter. The original photo tripod mount has beenremoved in order for the telescope tube to fully rotate in the cradles, but isincluded should you need it.The telescope optics are in very goodcondition, the mirror is unmarked and looks as new. This is a fast, wide fieldtelescope specifically designed for observing/photographing comets and deep skyobjects.
