This is a very nice looking Celestron Celestar 8.

I’m afraid I know very little regarding astronomy and this came from a clearance so I have not used it and dont know previous history. Along with it came some photographic eqpt and cameras. There is a album of colour photographs of the moon so this might help confirm good working order (camera eqpt is not for sale)

Cosmetically looks super clean with absolute minimal marking. Possibly not used alot or has been well cared for. Mirror looks in good clean condition as is front glass. There’s some very light traces of dust and maybe some light smears inside the glass but I guess this is normal and is not visible unless you shine a strong light across the surface. I cant see any damaged parts and it all looks very good but I urge anyone to ask questions to confirm anything before bidding.

It has what looks like a computer controlled or electronic mount but there are no devices to plug in so I cant test. Battery compartment is clean.

There’s an angled finder containing a Meade 3000 plossl16mm eyepiece and another finder (Celestron 6×30 LER bolted on top.

Most sellers offer these things for collection only. While I would much prefer collection I can post to main Uk areas but remote highlands and islands must ask for a quote as it’ll be more expensive.  I can deliver reasonable distance or meet half way. In fact if you’re within 100 miles of Falmouth Cornwall I would hope for a collection in person. Couriers dont insure items with glass but I will do my absolute best to pack safely, probably wrap it in a duvet with loads of bubblewrap etc. I cant take responsibility for damage in transit so its at buyers risk. DEFINATELY NO OVERSEAS

I do have a basic tripod for it but is rather big to post. Possibly could send in a separate parcel but check with me first.
