I’m getting rid of my old 8″ Newtonian as I don’t use it much anymore and have far too many scopes!

Its a 200mm f5 OTA on a CG5 Goto mount. Complete with 9×50 finder, tube cover, power supply and a skywatcher 20mm wide angle eyepiece as I cant find the original.

Although over 10 years old this set up is in VGC. The mirrors are scratch and dirt free in fact like new. There are a few marks here and there on the tube and mount as you would expect.

Note that when I bought this scope it had an issue with the DC power connector that resulted in occasional momentary power loss (a common fault on there apparently) and so I removed the connector and soldered a power cable directly. No problem since. I also am including a PC interface (https://www.dd1us.de/Downloads/CelestronAS_PCinterface.pdf) that I built that allows you to control the scope via a PC and Nexremote software (free download) if you wish. I assembled everything this morning for the photos and did a quick alignment and everything is fine so its ready to go.

Prefer cash on collection. I cannot post but could deliver or meet up to 100 miles from Pontardawe in the Swansea Valley for the cost of petrol (about 30).
