                 CARL ZEISS SUPER S SEPTAREM  7 x 40W BINOCULARS        EXCELLENT   pair of Carl Zeiss  JENASEPTAREM 7 X 40W Binoculars  Theyhave the original leather case in very good condition (  new leather hinge strap fitted  )and the original case strap andlanyardalso are good. This model was the civilianversion of the DF 7 x 40 or “Checkpoint Charlie “as it is oftencalled  and was used by the East GermanNVA or Nationale Volks Armee , by the patrol guards for continuous surveillance duties Theserial number is 3623428 which indicates date of production as 1969 in Jena EastGermany,and the cosmetic conditionisexcellent with virtually no paint loss and no damage to the body work.  Theoptical condition is perfect and they have had a good service with the GlasgowBinocular Repair Co and do give a  wonderfulimage which is bright and has a excellent contrast also a colour accuracy forwhich Carl Zeiss are renowned for.
All focusingfunctions are smooth and positive  alsono loss of the original coatings and the eyecup up /  and down operations give the spectacle wearerabout 10mm to 20mm above the eye lens, which isideal as  the full field of view isavailable.  Reverseviewing reveals a very bright and clear interior with no signs of dust / fungusor any other  debris. The collimation isalso perfect ensuring fatigue-free viewing during prolonged use. I amcompletely confident that this pair of binoculars will give completesatisfaction to the new owner. I dohave a return policy should they not adhere to the above description , a fullrefund is guaranteed, Please advise me  if any problem exist,thank you for your cooperation .
