The item for sale is a pair of Carl Zeiss Dekarem Multi-coated 10×50 binoculars that due to their age are being sold as seen so please study the photos as they form part of the description and to satisfy yourself what you will be receiving.The binoculars externally are in excellent condition with very minimal wear marks with all the adjustments moving nice and smooth.The right front glass as you look at pics 1&2 does show a small silvery spec and in the other barrel inside there can be seen some tiny bubble specs which affect an tangent of approx. 5-10% – this can only be seen when you look the wrong way down the barrel – the view through the correct way is nice and clear.The Serial Number 6947354 suggests a year of manufacture of c1989.The case has a lot of scuffs and scrapes and some staining which would not come off with a damp cloth – the strap is also creased and twisted.These are not stamped DDR anywhere I can see – I know there are fakes out there and as far I can see these look ok with the rear screws in the correct place but will stand corrected – with the bins is a lifetime guarantee and another booklet marked as operating instructions and this is marked with the Zeiss logo and GDR details(both sheets creased and folded) – see photos.This will be posted using a cardboard box. AUSTRALIAN and AMERICAN buyers Due to the delays caused by the your customs departments checking every item thoroughly as it comes into your country your items are taking a lot longer to arrive – apologies for this but the circumstances are beyond my control. This is part of a large collection of cameras etc i am selling and will combine postage where possible- If more than one item is purchased please wait for an invoice as i do the postage charges by weight as it works out a lot cheaper than giving a discount. . Although i am selling the cameras i am no expert and describe as i see it – so please ask questions if in doubt. All items are sold as seen and carry no warranty unless stated above. Also no returns will be accepted on items marked restoration/spares and/or repairs and/or sold as seen. All payments to be made within 7 days. Postage of items is usually within 1 working day after cleared payment – large items subject to courier availability.I post most weekdays but not saturdays – if an item is purchased friday afternoon it will be posted monday (according to the press research items posted on saturday do not get sorted until monday now anyway).
