CARL ZEISSJENOPTEM DDR 10X50W BINOCULARS COMPLETE WITH ZEISS REDLEATHER CASE and strap (no binocular strap) Serial number 4599047These wonderful binoculars are in excellent condition showing no user markswhatsoever it looks like these binoculars have not been used at all.Caseis in good condition with just a few scratches.DDRmarked on the centre hinge and seven digit serial number ensures these aregenuine East German Zeiss. TheZeiss T coated lenses are unscratched thoughinternally there are some age related marks to the prisms, so these binocularswould benefit from a service to bring them back to their best. It looks likethese have had little or no use so have sat for many years without use.Dioperand focussing mechanisms are smooth in operation. At 10Xmagnification these are an excellent pair of hand held binoculars, they areideal for pastimes such as birdwatching, sport meetings etc. The extra widefield of view ensures that you can easily pick up your target and follow it incomfort while the large 50mm objective lenses capture enough light for you tocontinue viewing well into twilight.The 10×50 Jenoptem has enjoyed a long and successful historyas a birdwatching glass in the UK and using this pair you can still see why.The image quality is astounding, you can see why the Zeiss name has been heldin such high esteem for so long.
