THIS PARTICULAR PAIR ARE QUITE UNUSUAL,IN THAT THEY HAVE THE NAME OF THE FAMOUS LONDON RETAILER OF NEGRETTI & ZAMBRA LONDON W.1 INSCRIBED ON THE FRONT.ALSO ARE THE INITIALS/DATE OF ‘W.H.C’…’17.1.36’.ALL PROFESSIONALLY STAMPED.THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THIS PAIR IS ‘1666758’,WHICH TALLY’S UP ABOUT RIGHT WITH THIS DATE,AS THEY WERE MANUFACTURED IN ABOUT 1934/5.THEREFORE A NICE PRE-WAR PAIR.

CONDITION IS GOOD.VISUALLY THEY ARE IN FAIRLY CLEAN CONDITION.LIGHT EXPOSURE OF BRASS ON SOME OF THE EDGES AND BOTH PAINT AND LEATHER CLOTH ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.
ALTHOUGH THE IMAGES ARE VERY CRISP AND SHARP,ONE OF THE LENSES HAS A SMALL AMOUNT OF LIGHT ‘FUNGUSING’.BOTH MAIN ADJUSTING SCREW AND THAT OF THE LENS ADJUSTMENT ARE TIGHT IN OPERATION.AS SUCH,THIS PAIR IS IN NEED OF A SERVICE AND ACCORDINGLY ARE SOLD FOR ‘SPARES OR REPAIR’.
