Not sure if it should have a rubber eye protector or not. There is some scuffing and scratching the outside. Looking through the monocular there is evidence of dirt inside the item like black spots. BinocularsPair of Carl Zeiss Jena 8×30 w binoculars These have a few problems. There is fungus present on the inside lenses and the outside lenses need cleaning too. Theres some writing scratched on one side The focus wheel and needs a total overhaul as it sticks and the securing screws thread has been crossed and made useless. So you cant focus them as they get stuck The case strap has the same numbers as the binoculars written in pen on it. No lens caps Any other questions are welcome
