This is a pair of Carl Zeiss 8×30 Deltrintem binoculars with the 1Q mark (denoting extra quality). The binoculars are in excellent (near mint) external condition with perfect external surfaces to the lenses.

The view through them is clear and sharp and the collimation is spot-on The focusing action is beautifully smooth and precise with none of the sloppiness found with inferior makes.

Internally the RHS is nice and clear with just a couple of minor specks of dust visible on reverse viewing. Unfortunately there is a blob of fungus in the LHS which looks like it is on one of the prism surfaces. I have tried to show this in the photos. This is not however visible when viewing through the binoculars (in fact you would not know it was there if you did not look through the ‘wrong end’). In view of this the binoculars would benefit from a professional clean, but they are perfectly usable as they are.

There is a beautiful well made leather case with strap included, which has some wear and scuff marks.
