Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Jenoptem 7x50w binoculars serial number 4502149 ( 1977.) The famous wide-angle, low-light “nachtglas”. This example is in excellent condition in every respect, having seen very little use.The glasses are in perfect working order with no optical issues, crystal-clear internally, undamaged lenses and prisms and with no wear or cleaning marks to the blue optical coatings. All controls function very smoothly and collimation is perfect. The produce an exceptionally clear and sharp image, well up to legendary Carl Zeiss standard, the low-light capability having the edge over other types at times such as dawn and dusk. Cosmetic condition is also excellent with hardly any signs of handling or use. They still have their original solid leather red velvet lined case, also in really nice condition, together with the case strap and black leather binocular lanyard. A fine classic binocular ready to give many years of enjoyable use. (Note – these are genuine East German Zeiss binoculars clearly marked “DDR” and bearing the correct 7-digit serial number.)They darefully packed in a large, well padded box.
