Carl Zeiss Jena DDR “Jenoptem” 10 x 50W multi-coated binoculars serial number 5430117(1980). This is a pair of genuine East German Zeiss binoculars, clearly marked “DDR” and bearing the correct 7-digit serial number. And they feature Zeiss’s world-beating T3M multi-coated optics for maximum light transmission and optimal viewing even in difficult conditions. The binoculars have just had a full overhaul and so there are no issues. All lenses are unmarked and there is no damage to any prisms. Centre focus has had fresh optical grease and works very smoothly. Collimation is perfect, no double image or eye starin. The cosmetic condition is also excellent, paintwork in close to new condition showing just a few very slight traces of wear and with unmarked leather.They produce a bright, pin-sharp image, Carl Zeiss optical excellence at its finest. They are sold with their original solid leather red velvet lined case with shoulder strap and black leather binocular lanyard. A great classic binocular ready to give many years of enjoyable use.
