Carl Zeiss Jena DDR “Jenoptem” 10 x 50W multi-coated binoculars serial number 6936368 (1989). This is a pair of genuine East German Zeiss binoculars, clearly marked “DDR” and bearing the correct 7-digit serial number. They were made just before production finally ceased in 1991and so are one of the newest pairs available. And they feature Zeiss’s world-beating T3M multi-coated optics for maximum light transmission and optimal viewing even in difficult conditions. The binoculars have no faults or damage to any prisms, lenses or the optical coatings. And they are crystal-clear internally, totally free from fungus or haze. And collimation is fine, no double image. The cosmetic condition is also close to new with paintwork showing just a few tiny traces of wear and with unmarked leather.They focus very smoothly producing a bright, pin-sharp image, Carl Zeiss optical excellence at its finest. They are sold with their original solid leather red velvet lined case with shoulder strap and black leather binocular lanyard. A great classic binocular ready to give many years of use and enjoyment.
