CarlZeiss Jena DDR “Jenoptem” 10 x 50W multi-coated binocularsserial number 4777665 (1978.) These are a pair of genuine EastGerman binoculars clearly marked “DDR” and with thecorrect 7-digit serial number. They are also some of the very firstto receive the revoluntionary T3M multi-coatings with theirunmistakable deep purple/orange hue, a world first for Zeiss DDR andgiving a visible boost to low-light viewing such as at dawnand dusk. These binoculars are in top, flawless condition, havingonly been used very occasionally and very well cared for. They are crystal-clear internally with no fungus or haze and with no damage orscratches to any lenses, prisms or the T3M coatings and nicely collimated – no doubleimage. Focssing and right diopter adjustments are silk-smooth andthey produce a bright, pin-sharp image. Cosmetically the binocularsare totally unmarked and close to new new. Their solid leather redvelvet-lined case is also in nice condition and they have theiroriginal case strap and new black leather binocular lanyard (theoriginal lost.) A very fine example of this classic Zeiss binocularready to give many years of enjoyable use. The binoculars will becarefully packed in a well padded box for dispatch and sent fullyinsured.
