Carl Zeiss Jena DDR “Deltrintem” 8 x 30 wide-angle multi-coated binoculars serial number 5921207 (1983). This is a pair of genuine East German Zeiss binoculars, clearly marked “DDR” and bearing the correct 7-digit serial number. The Deltrintem was the Zeiss DDR premium binocular, superior to the similar Jenoptem. These glasses also feature Zeiss’s world-beating T3M multi-coated optics for maximum light transmission and optimal viewing even in difficult conditions. And the wide-angle view takes in plenty of the scenery and is also great for tracking moving objects, birdwatching, sports etc. The binoculars have no faults or damage optically, are crystal-clear internally and nicely collimated – i.e. no double image. And the cosmetic condition is also excellent with very smart paintwork. They focus very smoothly producing a bright, pin-sharp image, Carl Zeiss optical excellence at its finest. They are sold with their original solid-leather red velvet lined luxury top-loading case together with its leather strap and black leather binocular lanyard. The case bears some dents and scratches for is still solid and clean. Binoculars will be carefully packed in a well-padded box and sent fully insured. I am happy to post world-wide.
