Carl Zeiss Jena DDR “Deltrintem” 8 x 30 multi-coated binoculars serial number 5562987 (1981.) This is a pair of genuine East German Zeiss binoculars clearly marked “DDR” and with the correct 7-digit serial number.The Deltrintem was the premium range East German Zeiss 8 x 30 binocular made in limted numbers and hand assembled using specially selected components. It also and bore the prestigeous “Q1” quality mark. It was sold with a superior “luxury” top-loading leather case. This late-production Deltrintem also benefits from the revoluntionary Zeiss “T3M” optical multi-coatings for optimal viewing even in challenging low-light conditions. These binoculars are A1 optically, crystal-clear internally with no fungus or haze and with no damage to prisms or any cleaning marks or scratches on the lenses. Collimation is perfect with no double image. They focus very smoothly and produce bright, pin-sharp image. Cosmetic condition is excellent with few traces of use. The case is also in very nice condition and has an attractive grey velvet lining. Case shoulder strap and black leather binocular lanyard are included and also in good condition.
