My father’s set of binoculars – this is a private sale
This is an excellent pair of binoculars with a very good case
Having seen other pairs on eBay described on eBay as ‘excellent’ I’d say these are in the ‘very-good’ category.. only dropping marks for slight wear to the case – the binoculars are in excellent condition and the man in Camera Exchange said I should at least realise 120 for them
The multi coated lenses are crystal clear and the focusing mechanisms are smooth and correct (checked by the chap in Camera Exchange too)
Clearly marked DDR with a 7 digit serial number 4956666 they are a fully working original pair of Carl Zeiss East German binoculars
Binoculars include original black leather strap
Slight wear to the case underneath the front flap caused by the rear of the clasp.
Slight dark marks to the side which look like old leaked ink – almost un-noticeable unless studied closely – the main photograph showing these is bright in comparison to the marks themselves…the second photo of this side of the case was taken under a flash so you can see the contrast of black mark against the brown is negligible
The case stitching is firm and the leather is unworn
The strap is solid and in good condition
The interior of the case is red velvet
