Carl Zeiss Jena Binoculars DELTRINTEM 1Q 8×30  Coated Lenses
Superb Quality Wide View German Made Binoculars Serial number 4747834 (1977)production stopped in 1991This is a fine top quality binocular that is in a good used condition.No scratches on any lenses.  Coated Lenses – helps minimize lens reflections, improve the clarity of vision and protect the lenses
There are only a few areas of paint loss mainly to ends of metal objective rims, main body bridge. These binoculars produce typical Carl Zeiss stunning images.
The main focus wheel and right diopter adjustment operate smoothly and correctly.   Both barrels produce clear and bright images. No damage to prisms that are free from haze. These binoculars are collimated for prolonged fatigue – free viewing (no double image). They are a pleasure to use. I found the collimation to be ‘very good’ with no eyestrain.These are a superb pair of binoculars made by Carl Zeiss the world famous German optical manufactures.The red velvet lined brown leather case and strap are in a good condition and works as it should.The black strap is also in a very good condition.
Constructed of brass, steel and aluminium, covered with black lacquer and leather, Bakelite eyepiece surrounds. Wide angle of view to aid easy object location.The Deltrintem has been a long standing ‘classic’ binocular for many years! The 1Q mark denotes top quality components for export markets. These binoculars are both collectible as they are usable. Binoculars will be well packed/padded.
International Postage (insured) is 23.99 using Royal Mail’s International Signed For Service.
Beware of Far Eastern produced Carl Zeiss copies which have a six digit serial number instead of the normal seven. These copies also have a groove running along the circumference of the large central focus wheel. They are inferior in both build quality and optical performance. Thank you
