Carl Zeiss 8×30 Binoculars Deltrintem Pre WW2 1936(80 years of age)!!!
Superb Quality Wide View German Made Binoculars Serial number 1791624 (1936) production stopped in 1991This is a fine top quality binocular that is in a very good used condition.No scratches on any lenses – it may have cleaning marks but nothing of any significance.

Areas of paint loss around metal prism plates and objective rims. Both center focus & right diopter adjustment operate smoothly and correctly. The main focus wheel is a ‘little’ stiff but still easily tunable with one finger.Free from mould, fungus attack.Both barrels (in reverse view) are very clear and bright. These binoculars are collimated for prolonged fatigue – free viewing (no double image)I found the collimation to be ‘good’ with no eye strain.The case which i believe is original has an internal shoulder support missing. It has no strap but really is in a good condition considering its age (which is 80yrs) – it shows wear but still fully functional.

The views using these binoculars are very fine!These are a superb pair of binoculars made by Carl Zeiss the world famous German optical manufactures.

Constructed of brass, steel and aluminium, covered with black lacquer and leather, Bakelite eyepiece surrounds. Wide angle of view to aid easy object location.The Deltrintem 8×30 has been a long standing ‘classic’ binocular for many years!These binoculars are both collectable as they are usable. Binoculars will be well packed/padded.
