This listing covers only one cable – either #505 for Autostar 495/497 and Audiostar or #507 for Autosar II. Please confirm which cable you’re after.———————————————————————————————————————Following to numerous feedbacks I’m listing herein rewindable cassette serial cable. Obviously I’m not making this cable myself anymore but have to outsource it from reputable and well known name on the market, hence the price. All functionality remains the same as the original plain wire #93920. You will however sort out storage problem forever. As well as, at least that’s what some of astronomers complained about, problem with broken tiny plastic tubs on the plugs will be a matter of the past. Cable un-winds to full 5m length just by a slight pull on both ends. It can be also rewinded back for safe storage and serial plug disconnected.
For safety and ease of postage I will unscrew small plastic winding handle from the cassette before sending this cable to you. Once received you can attach it back using small phillips or slotted screwdriver.5mtr long serial cable for updating Autostar II or Autostar #497 / #495 via PC COM-port.I will also include a link to download a suitable software to allow remote control of your Meade telescope from your PC.Will work with all Meade scopes using Autostar 497 or 495 – all ETX series, some DS-range scopes, LXD55 and 75 and all LX90 ACF. Same applies to #507 cable save from the difference that is connects only Autostar II from LX200 ACF range.Note that some newer PC’s (laptops in particular) may not have COM-port available as standard. In this case please check my other listing for USB – serial converter.Every cable will be tested live on my own ETX90 or LX200GPS before posting to you. Since I’m using same equipment myself you’re more than welcome to send any questions before or after purchase. Check my feedbacks – will be glad to help you with scope connection and setting up your GOTO control system.Color of the RS232 plug may vary.ATTENTION Autostar 494 owners – this cable will not work with AS 494!
