An original pair of binoculars dating from about 1900 to 1920 in it’s original case. There are no manufacturing details and is marked around the rear lens with the words ” LE JOCKEY CLUB PARIS ” . Overall the binoculars are in very good condition, the optics are clear with no damage to any of the lens, the mechanical focusing is fully operating, the plated metal parts are very bright with no scratches or any of the plating lifting or corroded. There are no dents to be seen in any parts of the binocular, the only wear is to some of the leather covering, the leather is complete but has minor surface blemishes but still retains a nice shine.
The original leather carry case has taken more wear whist protecting the binoculars, most of the original carrying strap is now missing and the leather has suffered surface wear, the lined interior is complete and the lid securing clasp is fully functional.
Overall a nice item for about 100 years of existence, with a little cleaning and polishing could be made to look even better.
