Item Description Barr & Stroud Series 4 10×42 ED Binocular DescriptionThe 10×42 Series-4 ED Binocular from Barr & Stroud combines a fully multicoated lens system and phase-corrected BaK4 prisms to create a color-faithful high-transmission optical path that is well-suited for low light performance. This 10x optic features a 6 angle of view and has the ability to focus within seven feet, equipping the Series-4 ED for close to mid-range observations like birding and hunting. In addition to their image quality, this binocular also has a long 15mm eye relief and twist-up rubber eyecups with multiple click-stop settings that can provide a comfortable viewing distance even for eyeglass wearers.Complementing the high-transmission 10×42 optical path is a nitrogen-filled fogproof housing that is submergible to almost five feet for three minutes. An open-bridge design helps to evenly balance the weight of the binocular and make it easier to handle with one hand than other common bridge configurations. A lightweight polycarbonate housing, armored with slip-resistant rubber, equips Series-4 binoculars to handle demanding weather conditions. The combination of high-transmission optics, user-friendly features, and a weather-sealed housing make the Series-4 ED binocular ready for a wide range of outdoor viewing tasks.
