Astronomical Telescope fuller scope D:200mm 8 FL:1220mm 48Newtonian relectorOverview:Mirror measures just OVER 8 inch at 8 inchesFocal length is about 48 inch making it a F6Telescope has been flocked in sideMirror is serviceableAn  EQ mount as shownis included ( Just bolt it to a pier.)(Work bench NOT included)Lens: No lens are included but you can use your favourite1.25 lens in the focuser.Tube and mirror door are structurally sound, a few dents andodd holes exists, the whole thing could do with a strip down and paint or justuse as is. Post:, This is far to heavy to post complete , so its collection only pleaseDescription:Telescope:A classic vintage UK made telescope of 8 inch (210mm)mirror and a very useful 48 inch (1220mm) focal length. Tube is aluminium and structurally sound with a few dents.A very heavy EQ mount is included. I really would like to keep but it reallyhas to go as its not getting used that much. The mirror is serviceable with afew marks, difficult to photograph. I was going to get it recoated but theimages were so good I didnt bother realising it would have been money wasted..I believe the mirror was ground by David Hinds or H Wildey. Google them The Meadefocuser is light and accurate.  Ithink the finder works but will probably need a new battery. I tried telescope ona different mount, out last week when the clouds cleared and pointed it at themoon. It gave a crystal clear sharp image and I could zoom in with the Barlowviewing the 3 craters Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus an Arzachel east of mare Nubium. Icould easily see the central peaks and crater floors. You will also be able toview Jupiter, its bands and moons and Saturns rings, M42 the Orion Nebular ..etc but for me, our moon never fails to amaze. This really is a good  scope I am sure you will be pleased with.Mount:I have never used the mount shown. It needs a really good clean and grease butisnt rusty at all. It is for this telescope and must have cost an absolutefortune given its quality weight and construction with anti backlash gears etc.Probably for a local society. You can set up a pier and just bolt the mount on  top. The RA axis has a motor which I removed. As it didnt work . I have it somewhere if I can find and will include it freeof charge.SellersConditions:NOTE:PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU ARE GOING TO COMPLETE AS OTHERWISE ITS SUCH A WASTE OFEVERY ONES TIME.Ifyou retract a bid and then dont rebid then you go on my blocked bidders list. The unit will be suitably packed using bubble wrap whereappropriate and placed in a strong corrugated box with fragile indication. Iwill, of course, offer any help I can give to sort problems out). Note: unlessstated a mains cable is not included unless integral or there a cavity for it.I generally dont pack them as they to easily get damaged or damage the item. Also electrical items havent been pat tested for safety so you might want toget this done before plugging into the mains.
