Asahi Pentax 8 x 40 prism binoculars with coated optics.  Wide field 9.5 – serial number 004107, made in Japan.  An elderly friend of mine died a few months ago and I am helping to sell some of his belongings.  I am not an expert on binoculars but everything appears to be working fine.  They appear to have had very little use and are undamaged apart from three small paint defects on one of the larger rims (circled in red on photo).  Other apparent marks on the same photo are dust specks which have now been wiped off.  All components appear to move correctly and smoothly.  Rather than describe the condition of the equipment in greater detail I have instead taken care to provide plenty of pictures.  It comes with four lens protectors, a black Asahi Pentax carry case and strap which do show some signs of wear but are perfectly usable.
