Antique French Lemaire Paris Triple Optic Binoculars Marine / Theatre / Field. c.1900

Description: An early example of these highly sought-after and hard to find Binoculars / Opera Glasses with three lenses changed by the wheel at the side and indicated across the bridge labelled ” Theatre “, ” Field ” and ” Marine “.

Both eyepieces are signed LeMaire Fabt Paris together with a couple of little bees (the signature for LeMaire); there is also a bee engraved on the wheel on the side together with a serial number.

They have been polished (not by me, I like things in original condition) but could do with a bit more work to present them properly.

They are in excellent working condition. They come with a basic leather case which has a missing top handle but is original.

Dimentions are = 4 1/2″ wide x 3 1/4″ extending to 4 1/4″.
