Interesting pair of binoculars here.. by Louis Casella c1900 maker to the Admiralty & Ordnance (signed on the eye pieces) complete with leather grips and leather case. Bears the A&O crest of the time engraved on each lens barrel also has lens shades that pull out in a very neat design, excellent condition for age and one can only ponder the travel they have seen. Optically still in good order, signs of dust (not unusual) but little hazing or fungus evident.
Pure collectors piece of an iconic practical English instrument!
Measurements: 23cm open/16cm closed x 13cm width x 6.5cm diameter larger lens and weighing some 580gm.
