Imoffering for auction, without reserve, an interesting old set of lightweight,usable binoculars, probably manufactured in the 1900s.The binocularsare of solid brass construction but weigh just 10 ounces. The brasssurfaces are finished in gloss black with leather trim.
The focusing ring appears to be of Bakelite construction.
Lenses are very clean, with no visible scratches, dust or fungus. Focusingis smooth and positive.
Images appear to be completely clear and bright, with sharp contrast. There issome minor paint loss. Leather covers show light wear and fading.
Two indentations are visible to the front edges of the casing.
Overall cosmetic condition of the binoculars is Very Good, given the apparent ageof the item. Pleasecheck out the photos for actual condition. There areno manufacturers stamps, dates or model numbers. Dimensions:Approx. 4.5 inches.(115mm) Width x 3.5 inches (90mm) Min. Length.
