This is a pair of Antique Binoculars made by Lemaire of Paris, France, I know nothing about binoculars so please see the pictures for details of what type they are etc, I will desctribe them as accurately as I can but if you are looking you certainly know more about them than I do. They are about 13.5 cms/ 5.25 inches long are made of brass painted black and leather coated. The paint has rubbed off the brass in places and the leather has broken on one side as shown in the pictures (should be an easy repair but I thought best not to glue it or anything myself), otherwise they would seem to me to be in good condition considering their age which I would guess at around 100 years old. The focal length adjusts and the movement/screw works very smoothly and freely. One of the lenses has a tiny scratch mark which I couldn’t get to show up in a photo but you cannot see this when you look through them, at least, I can’t see it.
I know that scientific instruments are very collectible but, as previously mentioned, I know nothing about Binoculars so I am starting the auction at .99p with NO RESERVE!! so grab yourself a bargain.
