Antique 19thC Cased Celestial Telescope lenses with Dark Filters
Original and fresh from clearance is this original Mahogany Cased set of lenses. The construction of case with brass screws to lid and hinge (rather than steel screws) suggest nautical or campaign use. The lenses are dirty and untouched, and would benefit from clean. The three Lens edge on, are heavily filtered and it is only with a bright led torch held directly in the lens that you can see a green filter. Not sure exactly what this set was made for, I am sure the collectors out there will know. I have taken maximum number of photos to help you identify.The top of case measures 255mmx140mm and is made of quality figured mahogany.
