ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY 3 DRAW BRASS AND WOOD MARINE TELESCOPE

This  original high quality telescope dates from mid to late 1800’s.  It is a powerful 3 draw brass telescope with wood covered body. The  condition of the telescope is very good for its age. The eye piece(1 ins) and the optical lens (1.5 ins) both have brass sliding covers.  The telescope weighs 1kg and measures 1 ft (30.5cm) when folded and 2ft 9 inches  (83 cm) when all 3 draws are extended. The diameter is 2.5 inches (5cm)

It is fully functional, the lenses are undamaged and it produces a clear image.  The draws have a smooth but firm action.  The wood case is still in good condition without any cracks or damage.  An really excellent marine telescope and a useful and interesting item.
