8 inch SCT& GOTO MOUNTSelling my 8 inch Meade LX10 EMC SCT that has been paired with a Celestron 6/8SE Nexstar GoTo mount & tripod. Also included isan adapted Meade equatorial wedge,its original 8 x 50 finderscope and an ADMdovetail bar. There is a Meade1.25 diagonal, Meade 2 x Barlow lens, two Meade4000 Super Plossls: 9.7mm & 26mm – with bolt cases) and a Konus filter set. The mount comes withits Nexstar controller and 12v DC power lead (cigarette type). There is aBullseye level taped to the top of the mount (easily removable but useful).The OTA is clean andtidy – there are a few marks as you would expect and a tiny ding on the tube(does not affect viewing). The telescope has been fitted with Collu-mates collimation screws (similarto Bobs Knobs). There is some dust on the mirror and corrector plate, however,the scope produces good planetary views. The finderscope mount isdamaged and would ideally be replaced, but it does still work you may justneed to re-align the finderscope more often. I fitted a vixen base and used my8 x 50 Celestron right angled finder (these are not included). The paint-workis quite scratched but the optics are clear.  I have a user guide somewhere to add to theabove.De-forking the OTArequired turning the tube to fit the dovetail bar, this alters the position ofthe focus knob and alters the position of the stickers on the tube I personallydidnt find this a problem.  The mount is in verygood and fully functional condition with no known problems and it tracks as itshould. The tripod is stainless steel, sturdy and well made, but very portableat the same time. The equatorial wedge hasbeen adapted to fit the mount & tripod base this was surprisingly simplewith the drilling of only two small holes in to the wedge all mounting botsare included. When mounted, the wedge sits very well and is rock solid. Fittingand removal takes a few minutes.All other items arefully functional and in fair-good condition. I will be sad to see thescope go its very nice to look at. The package itself is surprisinglycompact, portable and lightweight making it ideal when travelling to dark sites and is small enough not to take up much room in the house. Selling as I needto cut down on my gear as I have just purchased a GEM mount, a more recent OTAand need room.Due to the nature of theitems this is collection only please and pre-arranged viewing before bidding is welcome.
